2017 LAWSON CRADDOCK YOUTH CYCLING LEAGUE — (LCYCL)
presented by the Alkek Velodrome
It’s that time of year again. The Alkek Velodrome Summer Youth Cycling League classes are BACK with a new brand name. We are now named after our favorite home town professional cyclist, Lawson Craddock.
The same summer cycling class that kicked off Lawson Craddock’s career and has introduced hundreds of young people to the fun of bicycle racing is back. This year the Alkek Velodrome is partnering with Lawson Craddock to present these great classes.
Lawson got his start at the Alkek Velodrome and it is our hope that, with Lawson’s inspiration, we can help a future boy and girl pro cyclist get their start in bicycle racing.
As always, The Lawson Craddock Youth Cycling League is free and the classes will be taught by Coach Carl Jones and members of the Alkek Junior Racing Team!!! And, at the end of the classes, our newly trained young racers will come back for a LCYCL race event to win a bicycle of their very own just like Lawson did when he got his start.
Dates for the 2 weeks of the 2017 Lawson Craddock YOUTH CYCLING LEAGUE will be:
Session 1 — June 12-14,
Session 2 — June 19-21
Session 3 — June 26-28
Hours are 9-11:30.
